The Museum of Contemporary Art is located in the center of Tortolì, in a 19th-century building. The peculiarity of the museum lies in the layout of the exhibition spaces: the internal area is dedicated to temporary exhibitions, while the external area winds through the streets of the town.
“Su logu de s'Iscultura” was born as a sculpture park project and hosts sculptures of large dimensions, created with innovative techniques, that interpret themes related to the urban landscape and the environment. Among the artists who have contributed to the project are Maria Lai, Hidetoshi Nagasawa, Mauro Staccioli and Ascanio Renda.
Tortolì boasts a wonderful sea and beautiful beaches. The Lido di Orrì is a perfect example: it stretches for kilometers and kilometers and is dotted with small coves that give life to secluded beaches. The sand is white and fine, the sea floor is shallow and suitable for children, the sea is crystal clear and takes on breathtaking shades. The most famous beaches are Foxilioni and Cala Ginepro. The latter is named after the small pine forest of junipers that frames the beach and is characterized by the presence of low and rounded rocks that form the seafront.
The beach of Cea is also very beautiful, an ideal destination for those who want to relax and be pampered by the sound of the waves and the scents of the Mediterranean scrub. A few meters from the shore, you can also admire the is Scoglius Arrubius (the Red Rocks), porphyry red outcrops that are considered the symbol of the beach.
